Welcome to The Food Innovation and Technology Hub (FIT-Hub)

The Food Innovation and Technology Hub (FIT-Hub), established under the University of Malawi’s Centre for Resilient Agri-Food Systems (CRAFS) in April 2025 with World Bank funding through IUCEA, aims to foster entrepreneurship and innovation in Malawi’s agri-food systems while ensuring intellectual property protection.

Product Prototyping

Facilitating the prototyping of novel food products to test feasibility, functionality, and consumer response before moving to production.

Supporting digital platforms for knowledge sharing and market linkages for incubatees.

Facilitating partnerships between incubatees, academia and public/private organisations.

Product Development

Providing services towards product development and food analysis and product profitability assessment.
